I always love returning to the Cragwood Hotel and Country House in Windermere and this was no exception. I knew it was going to be an incredible day when as I was driving towards the entrance I was greeted by two beautiful deer by the side of the driveway - I slowed down to a stop and they playfully carried on as if I wasn't there. Unfortunately, they soon ran off as I scurried about inside the car looking for my camera. Doh! The sun was cracking the pavement and there wasn't a cloud in the sky, it had rained heavily the day earlier and was forecast to rain the day after - talk about being lucky with the weather! It’s always a pleasure returning here as a Lake District wedding photographer and this was such a beautiful day spent with Rachael and Dave for their intimate elopement. I was delighted to have had the pleasure of capturing all the special moments that they shared together and also to have had the privilege of being a witness. From the bright and sunny weather to the beautiful May flowers, everything was absolutely perfect for their big day.
