Funeral Photography

I am available as a documentary funeral photographer throughout Cumbria, the North West and UK-wide.

Making the choice to hire a photographer to document a funeral can at first seem a little daunting and some would consider it a bit of a strange decision if not a little bit of an uncomfortable one. You've made it this far though, so chances are that you've already made up your mind and that's a really good thing because photography can play an extremely important part in the healing process of grief.

The collection of images that I produce will be predominantly black and white (unless requested otherwise) and of a documentary nature. These images will be my interpretation of the day, they will sensitively portray a celebration of life, capturing those delicate moments between family and friends and the love that's reflected all around as friends and family pay their respects and emotional goodbyes.

I will not interfere with proceedings in any way and will capture the day as it naturally unfolds

I will uphold the highest level of professionalism and capture moments discreetly with taste and dignity

I will photograph predominantly from a distance and will not be a focal point or distraction

I will provide you with beautiful moments and memories that you will treasure forever

This is about capturing important memories for all to look back on in years to come and to share with those who were unable to attend. In my experience the moments that I have documented have always been gratefully received. In most cases, you won't even know I'm there. I'm happy to communicate entirely by email. I'm also happy to arrive at a location, capture photos and depart discreetly with no contact with you or anyone on the day should you prefer.

All photos will be provided at high resolution in a password protected gallery that you can access online. You will be able to download a copy of all of the images from this gallery and/or share with friends and family should you wish.

Guide price:

Coverage begins at £500 + travel for approximately 2 hours (Approx. 100 Images)

Each additional hour required thereafter: £200

Payment to be settled in advance.
