When Danielle reached out to ask if I would photograph her and Dean's wedding at Storr's Hall Hotel in Windermere, I immediately said yes, I was incredibly excited! As a Lake District proposal photographer, I had photographed several proposal photoshoots on the grounds of Storrs Hall but never actually photographed a wedding there.
Danielle and Dean booked me to cover their ceremony and some portraits afterward. This was a very small, intimate wedding with close family and although the weather was for want of a better word, wet, we had an amazing day!
Storrs Hall is a wonderful location for an intimate Lake District elopement or micro-wedding. Danielle and Dean got married indoors, and we then moved down to the boathouse and Temple of Heroes for photos – as you can see we also made use of the beautiful private lakeshore and woodland! We then finished up with some twirls and spins from the children which made for some really lovely portraits and magical moments.
There are so many opportunities for beautiful images in every weather and every season at Storrs Hall Hotel and as a Lake District Wedding Photographer, this has got to be one of my favourite venues.
