As a Lake District wedding photographer based in Kendal, I love to be invited to photograph a local wedding. It's nice to know I don't have to travel far and it's also a real pleasure to see lots of familiar faces! This wedding was incredible! Janita and Jordan made me feel so welcome, they are such a lovely couple and I really enjoyed spending the day with their friends and family. It’s always great to work locally as a Lake District wedding photographer and capture days like this close to home.


Janita and Jordan rearranged their wedding day several times before it finally happened last Saturday, and it was well worth waiting for! Janita got ready at the amazing Colour House BnB in Kendal before meeting the love of her life, Jordan at the Unitarian Chapel in Kendal to say their I do's! Janita's parents joined us from Latvia and their English was non-existent, so during the family photos, I got to practice communicating in sign language while Janita translated! I hope they had as much of a laugh as I did! It was then on to the Carus Green Golf Club in Kendal for their reception and evening celebrations.
