Emma and Joe’s Wedding at Linthwaite House
Emma and Joe first got in touch some time ago, planning an intimate wedding at Lancaster Registry Office with their nearest and dearest. Leading up to the day, Emma experienced the heartbreaking loss of her mother. While it was a difficult moment, she found a meaningful way to include her mother in the celebration, keeping her close in spirit.
On the day, Emma shared that it would be the first time she and Joe had seen each other for quite a while, as Joe works away with the Navy. Arriving at the registry office, which was a a bit of a change from typical Lake District wedding venues, I was immediately struck by the emotion and atmosphere – it was palpable. The couple exchanged their personal vows, and their happiness and love for each other were beautifully evident to everyone present.
After the ceremony, we headed to Linthwaite House for the celebrations with immediate family. The grounds provided a stunning backdrop, and we took the opportunity to make the most of the scenery. Emma and Joe even braved the rowing boat, which created some unique and striking images that captured their adventurous spirits. I also got the drone out to capture some aerial shots of the beautiful setting, adding a different perspective to their day.
Here’s a glimpse of some moments from their special day:
We wrapped up the day with some family photos before leaving Emma and Joe to quietly reflect and celebrate with their loved ones. It was such a privilege to document the love and joy of this amazing couple on their wedding day.
