If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be part of a wedding that feels like it’s straight out of a dream, then let me tell you about Cheyenne and Liam’s wedding at the Gilpin Hotel and Lake House. From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be something special.
I met Cheyenne at the main Gilpin Hotel, where she was getting ready with her parents. Her dad was going through old photos, reminiscing, and we even managed to recreate a childhood picture of Cheyenne with her favourite teddy bear. It was a really touching moment. Afterward, we stepped out onto the balcony for a few portraits, and there were definitely some emotions as we captured those beautiful, heartfelt moments.
The ceremony was held by the boat house, and let me tell you, the sun couldn’t have timed it better. It was like nature was showing off, backlighting the couple in the most stunning glow. With only a handful of family members around, as they said their vows, it felt like a cosy, intimate moment that was full of emotion.
After the “I dos,” we set off to explore the grounds, snapping photos along the way. Cheyenne and Liam aced it; they were absolute naturals, making my job easy while they just looked that good. I mean, honestly, can you even get a bad photo when you're in a setting this picturesque?
But then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Cheyenne and Liam took it up a notch by hopping in a boat. Now, Cheyenne might have been a little nervous about it (and I did persuade her a little if I'm honest!), but once they were out on the water, the nerves melted away. The real magic happened when I got the drone out. I won’t lie – I may have slightly obsessed over getting the perfect shot from above as they glided across the lake, framed by the stunning scenery of Lake Windermere.
It was one of those days where everything just clicked (pardon the pun!), and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been a part of it. Here’s a small glimpse of Cheyenne and Liam’s incredible day – full of love, laughter, and a fair bit of boat-based adventure. Enjoy!
